Our journey begins at Virovitica Fishponds, a hidden paradise for nature and photography lovers. The road then leads us to the Tea House in Špišić Bukovica, where the world of herbal aromas and ancient rituals unfolds. Surrounded by the scents of local herbs, we taste carefully prepared teas, from relaxing chamomile to invigorating mint.

The next stop brings a blend of nature, gastronomy, and relaxation. We arrive at Križnica, a magical Podravina island hidden in the embrace of the Drava River. Here, far from the bustle of the city, time slows down, and nature takes the lead. A walk through this protected area reveals a wealth of biodiversity – from rare plant species to wetland birds that dominate the sky.

At Križnica, we also visit the Visitor Centre, where we discover the story of the ecosystem of this unique area. Multimedia content, educational exhibitions, and professional guidance bring us closer to the coexistence of humankind and the river, as well as the importance of preserving natural heritage.

In the very heart of Križnica is the Dravska Iža Resort, where a true culinary experience awaits us. Traditional Podravina specialities, prepared with love and according to our grandmothers' recipes, take us back to ancient times.

For those who want refreshments, the Drava offers the opportunity to swim – at their own risk, but with an indescribable sense of freedom as the river caresses the skin and carries us downstream.

This Green Route is not only a journey through the landscape but also through the senses.
